Abstract

This article offers a network analysis of the mobility of itinerant performers in fairground shows and curiosity shows in France in the early 19th century. Based on an extensive survey of archives, the trajectories of 17,000 people are analyzed in the form of 60,000 travel segments, making it possible to reconstruct the groups of people traveling together and the main routes taken.
